We offer outpatient Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) services to help improve the daily lives of children living with sensory processing differences, Autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, physical trauma, or other diagnoses that impose limitations on mobility and daily functional activities. We offer family centered care that addresses the child and the family unit.
All of our therapists are trained in evidenced based practices for sensory processing which is the main lens through which we evaluate and treat. Our specialty is working with Autistic kiddos and those with Sensory Processing differences through a neuro affirmative lens. We do also treat complex medical conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Stroke at birth, TBI, rare genetic conditions, etc.
Pediatric physical therapy focuses on the assessment, treatment, and management of infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of congenital, developmental, neuromuscular, skeletal, or acquired disorders and diseases.
SOS Feeding Therapy
At Kidz Connect, we utilize the SOS Approach to Feeding, an evidence-based program for addressing feeding challenges in children. Developed by Dr. Kay Toomey, it combines sensory, motor, behavioral, and nutritional methods. Our team, including occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists, creates a fun and stress-free environment, helping children interact with food in a positive way. We aim to reduce eating anxieties and improve sensory skills, guiding children to progressively engage with different foods. Our approach is tailored to each child, promoting confident and healthy eating habits.
